So I'm at a pose stand, building an outfit out of prims for my avatar. Pleased that I'm getting somewhere with a build that's been tormenting me for weeks, I leap off the stand and walk around a bit to see how it moves.

Then the outfit vanishes. I double-take, find it back in my inventory and try and put it on the same spot. I get a message similar to this: "You can't attach multiple objects to the same spot." I look at said spot. Nothing is even attached there.

Okay then. I log out and back in. I try again, and it works this time. I continue with life.

Shortly after continuing with life, the outfit vanishes again. Same story as before. I try dropping the item on the ground and re-attaching it. This time it's all become unlinked. I know this because pieces kept attaching to my right hand. I scowl, link it up again, re-work the pieces that are missing, and try again.

It happens again. I rinse and repeat. This time the outfit is missing prims entirely.

To top it off, the auto-return feature keeps kicking in even though the parcel is clearly not full (114 prims left) like it's trying to claim.

Not. Happy.

I've seen this happen before, thought it was fixed. basically I discovered a few things.

1. Don't edit the position of the root prim of any attachment WHILE YOU ARE WEARING IT. It may disappear off the world and take 80% of your attachment with it. it will become unlinked, even though it is worn, and if you take it off and try to reattach it won't work, because the item is now a group of unlinked prims. Worse, the prims are often 100s of meters apart due to the bug and will try to spawn at 0,0,0 in the sim, causing them to get returned most of the time

2. Don't try to edit attachments while they are being worn period. Just drop the part, line it up how you want to wear it with your on-pose-stand-you and do it that way.

I thought they cleared this up, as it happened to me for a day a few months back, and then stopped ... figured they had fixed it.

Okay. I do quite a bit of both. I will try your suggestions and see if it works; however, it'll be tough, as I'm obsessively adjusting the prims while wearing them.

Thanks.

Reported this months ago to, nothing been done about it (theres a shock) , happend 5 times to me.

Right now , only edit attached prims that you can copy ,do not try to modify one you dont have full copy rights on attached, if you have to drop it on ground.

Lost a few prims out in space cause of this, got returned in a mess, thank you very much -.-
