Adding groups to access list

Hi....doubtless being thick...... (happens constantly)... but could someone please explain how to set land to be accessible to certain groups. If I check the box and add a specific avatar, it allows me to type in the name, does a search, and it's added. However I try, I cannot seem to do the same for groups. I own a sim, and want to set a section to be accessible only by members of a certain group. Is this possible? (without deeding land that is?) I thought I could add a group to the access list in the same way as a specific avatar.

I'm pretty sure that this is just a matter of setting the land group to the particular group. Do not deed the land to the group, just set the group. I can't go online to check this, however, but give it a shot.
