I have just updated to the new 1.7 patch and now SL will no longer connect for me, I get a second or so of the log in status screen before I get this error...
Unable to connect to server. Could not resovle domain name: someservername.lindenlab.com Please check your network connection
I have already tried a full reinstall from scratch and also have checked my firewalls and they are set to allow SL, is anyone having similar problems or knows how to fix this please?

I am also unable to connect, and after contacting support yesterday I got the following message: From: someone Hello, Thanks for your inquiry. You will have to uninstall and reinstall Second Life. Here's the process: 1) Open c:\Documents and Settings\(yourusername)\Local Settings and delete the contents of your Temp folder. 2) Open c:\Documents and Settings\(yourusername)\Application Data\Second Life and delete the contents of the Cache folder. 3) Uninstall Second Life using the Add/Remove Programs tool in your Windows Control Panel. 4) Visit http://secondlife.com/download and download and install the latest release. NOTE: If you cannot see the files or folders, go to the Tools menu, choose Options, go to the View tab, and select Show Hidden Files and Folders. Then click OK. This unfortunately did not work for me either and I am still unable to login.
