I'm wondering if anyone else is getting poor frame-rates with Radeon 9XXX series cards. I know that SL doesnt have full ATI support, does it support any ATI cards? It acts like it's running in software mode. The game is playable at 800x600 with 64m view distance, and *no* options turned on, (shadow, etc).
Here are my system specs:
- AMD Athlon 3800+ Dual Core Processor
- Gigabyte K8N9SC-939 Motherboard
- 1GB OCZ PC3200 (matching 512 sticks)
- ATI Radeon 9800Pro AGP

Aye, I have almost the same card, and am getting abysmal frame rates, even with minimal settings.
Frame rates also seem to be fluctuating all over the place for no reason, or for weird reasons. Is there something that someone at LL can tell us about any issues with these cards?
As it is now, unless I go into an empty sim with lowest settings, I can't break 20 fps consistently. :-/ 4-8fps is the norm.

I'm getting the same as before (5-10fps). I have no problems with my radeon 9600XT

I havent yet installed 1.10 (im at work), but I will see if that helps any. I do have the latest catalyst drivers from ATI.

Im running a 9800 pro 128mb, 3000 amdxp, 1gb ram ddr400,
and i average 20-30 in an empty sim, 8-15 in poplulated,
thats in 1.10 with all options on, 128m draw distance, 1280x1024 resolution....
