Body Shape

Today I was experiencing some major lag. I couldn't move so I thought I would relog and try again. When I came back, the normal "downloading clothing others can see you but you can't..blah blah" message came up. Well, when I finally rezzed, I got a message saying "Failure to find shape" or something like that. I was stuck with the original shape SL gives u when u first make an avatar. Well, I thought I would relog again. So I did. When I came back, I was still in the new avatar shape and my shape is gone completely out of my inventory. I did a search for what I had named it and its not there. I check trash can, nothing there and my trash can has never been emptied. Please help!

Try clearing your cache and re-logging. I think the Clear Cache button is in the Network tab of the Preferences screen. (I'm at work now, so I can't recall exactly.)

Note that when you log back on and open your inventory for the first time, it may take a few minutes for your inventory to fully re-appear (you'll see "fetching xxxx" at the top of the inventory during this time). After that's done, do another search and you'll probably find it.

Ouch... well after replying to your post, I found this thread where people appear to be talking about a similar problem. I think Ceera ended up getting some of her stuff back, so you might pay special attention to her posts. I do hope you're able to recover your shape!
