Previously, it seemed like standard HTML encoding techniques used to work for giving people URLs to islands with spaces in their name. (ie: secondlife://Island%20Name/X/Y/Z) However, I haven't been able to get it to work as of late. When I click on a link such as the one above in a browser, Second Life opens and just has "Island" in the region search box. (And the rest of the coordinates are defaulted.)

How do I properly give people URLs on websites to direct them to islands that might have spaces in their names? I've searched the forums and wikis but can see no information about this.

Use the underscore character to replace the space

Hi there,

I had the same problem - I've just spent the last hour trying to figure this out myself too as I'm based in Venice Beach and been looking all over for a link to a region that has a space in it to see how it worked.. Didn't ever find any but by chance I thought hey wonder if the underscore works... And it does! Seems to anyway..

secondlife://Venice_Beach/91/107/

Hope that helps :)

Hurrah now I can put it in my signature line
