http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Login+fails+with+%27Cannot+Resolve+Domain+Name+data.agni.lindenlab.com%27Cannot Resolve Domain Name Problem Second Life fails to log in, and displays the error message Cannot resolve domain name: data.agni.lindenlab.com. Typical Cause: During the startup process, Second Life was unable to contact your ISP's domain server (DNS) to figure out which computer on the Internet to connect to for Second Life. If you've just recently updated Second Life, this error is frequently caused by antivirus, firewall, or internet security products (particularly Norton software) that detect the change in Second Life and block access due to suspected viral activity. Potential Solutions: If you are running any other programs, try disabling them before running Second Life. If this resolves the issue, that software is blocking Second Life access. Firewall, internet security, and antivirus software should either have Second Life listed as a "trusted program", or be configured to ignore Second Life's program and folders. Consult the documentation that came with your software for information on how to configure your software. Antivirus software should be disabled before running the Second Life update or installer software.
