Are any of you guys & girls running the ATi Radeon 2900XT 512MB with Second Life?
7.6 Catalyst Drivers have helped a bit, but on the current 1.18.x-series SL Client I am still not rendering the Sun/Moon, I can't see Sculpted Prims, my Mini-Map is artifacted, vertex shaders don't work, and lol, and a host of other stuff (i.e. various objects) appear invisible...
Also, I randomly crash on various sims, like Sector 7 for example.
Anyway, how are all you other ATi owners getting on?
Cheers,
David

I really have no idea why your card isnt running SL properly. I have a Ati Sapphire X1650 Pro 512 Mb (AGP) myself. I use Omega drivers 3.8.360 (based on Catalyst 7.4), I have no problems what so ever. I do remember it didnt run very well on the Ati 7.6 drivers. Sl makes the card very hot, up to 180 F. My last card a X1600 Pro 512 overheated My system is a pentium 4 3.0Ghz. Windows XP Home sp2. 2048 Mb ram. I assume you looked into the Catalyst settings for 3d/direct3d settings etc. DirectX 9.0C running properly ? So Iguess I am a happy Ati user

Hi, I've found that disabling the Catalyst AI in the Catalyst Control Center renders sculpted prims for me. With it enabled, the prims look completely corrupt and distorted. Hope this helps
