I'm not so naive to think that I'm the first to ask this, but I'm new, so I'll ask it anyway. After all the adjustment of trying to think and act in "SLT", which coincides with "PST", which isn't too hard, because I live in "MST", why the heck is this forum delineated in "GMT"? Of all the crazy nonsense...is it because that allows the Lindens to say, "Well, we said Monday you would be able to purchase $Lindens, but that was Friday SLT, and we meant Monday GMT, which of course is actually yesterday now, so if you want to purchase $Lindens on Monday SLT, then you will need to cross the international date line PDQ so that it will be tomorrow today."?

Go to your User Control Panel. There is a tool there to set the forum time to any time zone.

This made me laugh quite a lot.

I'm in the UK...home of GMT...so am fairly confident as to what time it *really* is...Lindens...it's an hour later than you say it is...if you're going to allow us to think in GMT...at least make sure it's right!!!!!

GMT/UTC is fixed and isn't subject to DST.

In the winter the UK will be at GMT, in the summer the UK will be at GMT + 1.

Except when PST is PDT, in which case SLT = UTC-7, except in Arizona.

When I lived in the Falkland Islands, they had 'Camp Time' (nothing to do with gender), Camp=countryside outside of the capital, they were 1 hour less than the captials time, except when GMT summertime changed the clocks, then it was 2 hours less.. Camp was literally the capitals border line.. was fun crossing times zones and back by taking 2 steps LOL..
