Oh boy,
since last update this week this SL is more unstable than before or... it stops and asks to send crashreport or... its frozen like the ice on the North Pole or... it throws you out
is there something to do about it? one thing for certain: don't log on again............

mine crashes as well, sometimes displaying this error message.
Instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program.

I was having bad crash problems last night. It all started when I went into a Sandbox area. There was some annoying scripted object with sound that was harassing me, so I went to a different Sandbox. Except then SL crashed after I got there. Fine, I log back in. 10 seconds after I get logged in, it crashes again. Kept doing that. Then I got the idea to login to a specific location instead of Last Location (thankfully I remembered the name of one) and then I was able to login without it crashing.
Then later on I crossed the sim border at the Shelter in Isabel. I get logged out. Fine. Log back in, get logged out again and this time it says I'll be able to login again in 5 minutes. Fine!! When I come back I'm stuck in the wall. Can't sit on anything to get out of it. Teleport to a different area of Isabel. When I teleported back to the Shelter, I wasn't at my usual entry point but rather stuck in the wall again. I finally managed to get out of that loop by going to a different area entirely and coming back, but then people were seeing random parts of my avatar left on the ground. For the rest of the night a non-existent copy of the hat I was wearing would follow me around, stuck to my mid-section at times. That only happened in that particular parcel. Hopefully it's all straightened out when I login after work tonight.
I blame a lot of that on the annoying script object that was following me around in the Sandbox. It was some kind of cube with Batman on it and was playing a weird sound over and over. Kind of like the annoying banana phone only more obnoxious.

Now, it seems that I don't even get an error message. It just starts to open, and closes itself.

Sometimes I get an error message, but most of the time it just starts up and shuts down. What is going on? No response from a Linden yet... What is going on here?

I saw in another post that xfire was the problem. I exited xfire and SL started fine. Time to go over to xfire forums and say a few words

Yup. Thats what it was. It was xfire. It just updated and somehow thats what did it. Once I got rid of xfire and deleted the second life prefetch files, things worked fine.
