Recently My wife has been haveing problems on SL with staying on. Hell She crashes almost every 15 mins. not only off game but it crashes her hole comp.

Whats funny is she has been playing on SL for over a year now with no problems till this last update and now cant be on cause of this problem.

we talked to suport and they informed her she had an old driver and to update it with a newer 2005 driver. Well she has the most recent driver in 9/12/05 nvida 77.77 and it still dont work. also SL on hardware check doesnt have prob with it untill in world then SL and comp crash.

What to do? I truely dont think its her card. I truely think its SL . but try telling lindens that and see were it gets ya. :)

any segestions or if anyone knows of a fix or 3rd party vid driver we could try would be great.

Thanks.. Draigar Liu

did you tried to reinstall older drivers ? Like 41.09 ? Just an idea.

That card is so old I'm surprised it's still alive. When did you buy it? Do you get funky stuff on the screen when the computer crashes? If so then your card is dying.
Did you uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones? Failing to do so can really screw your computer up :(

Crashing the physical computer is indicative of a hardware problem, not a Second Life problem. The first thing I would suggest you look at would be the power supply and/or a fan as they are the first areas we look at.

Next, try physically unseating all the RAM, and PCI and AGP cards and reseating them.

*If the PC crash is sudden and total*, I would suspect that (one of) the memory card(s) is failing.

How? Well, it could even be that a single memory location that has "gone bad" and that would only cause the machine to crash if an instruction pointer gets written to it. The SL client obviously makes use of a lot of system resources and so it raises the likelihood that this would happen. Because of that SL makes these kinds of hardware problems more evident.

If the PC crash is not sudden and total, ignore this ;)
