Resizing Window Fonts

I'm sure this has been addressed in the past. I've searched through the forums both manually and using the search feature and I keep coming up empty handed.

I'm looking to learn how I can resize the font in windows -- such as chat windows, history windows, IM windows, notecard windows. They are far too small and really need to be enlarged for me.

I will continue to search the forums for the solution to this. If I find an answer before a response is provided here, I will post it for you all to see.

Thanks in advance for your help.

They Don't Care

Those of us who need larger fonts are just out of luck because nobody cares about us.

In addition to the size, the choice of colors in some places appears to have been made by someone with a powerful mean streak.

Well this can't be good at all. It's so small I get a headache trying to read it.

I'm of the same camp, I bug reported this for 1.7. Kind of peculiar lowering the resolution will make them bigger (but more pixelly of course) but there's not a more hifi way to do it.

A related perverse sort of thing occurs with getting a bigger, higher resolution monitor to surf the web with, such as to read the SL forums. With the higher resolution, the display here no longer fills the width of the screen, with the result that the bigger, higher resolution monitor actually has an effective display that is smaller, with useless blank space on either side.

I'm in the same boat. I think my very first post to the SL forums was a request for a jumbo font size. Please, with so many folks using larger displays, widescreen display, and even HDTV displays (like me), this needs to be addressed. You would think that a higher resolution display would allow for the fonts to remain easy to read at smaller sizes, but it just isn't so. I'm viewing on a 57" HDTV monitor at a vertical resolution around 1158x652 (I can't recall the exact rez.) I'd like to use a higher resolution, since I can, but any higher and I can't read a thing.

As it stands now, I can read the chat text just fine (thanks to the background shading feature), but IM's can be difficult at times. Any those top-right corner pop-ups, I can never read. I even have trouble with profiles sometimes.

This is how sad it is - I have to keep my Windows Notepad open in the background so I can copy/paste text that I can't quite make out. But, I go through the trouble, because it's great to be able to sit back in my recliner, and toggle between TV and SL as one or the other gets boring.

In short, PLEASE give us a jumbo text option for IM's and Inventory and scripts at least (I realize many fonts are rendered onto windows, such as the edit tools and group options and such.)
