You need to open network ports as described here: http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=TechConfigFirewall

I had similar problems...
On friday, in the afternoon, I logged off normally.
However, it said that I crashed, and I allowed it to send a crash report..
an hour later, the crash logger is still going, so i kill it through Task Manager.

Now when I log in I get an error, once it gets to "Waiting for response", an error appears:

I have allowed the ports that Second Life needs, but I still get the same error.
I have sent two emails to support, and a phone call, but they wont be working until monday.

I have tried to make another trial account to talk to my friends, but I get the same error described in another thread. So I have no way of getting into SecondLife..

If anyone knows how I can fix this, please tell me!

Yeah, they could stand to be a little more verbose with that message. Basically, it means that your IP has been flagged. There's some indication that it may not have been a deliberate ban, but if you've already recieved warnings about doing things, this could explain it. Does anyone else in your household use SL?
Like it says, if you feel the message is in error --and it very well may be-- email them asking what's up.

Wow thanks ^^
I knew it sounded kind of like a ban, but I never did anything wrong. The people I explain and show it to kept telling me it must not be a ban, it must be something else. The fact that they banned me without giving any reason kinda makes me mad ^^'

Anyway thanks for the info, its more reassuring once I know what's wrong!
