trying to run SL on vista with this driver and get error message "video card driver to old or not installed. * did update this driver, still same msg. can anybody help ? is this card even supported?

Well, it should be, and it probably will be, and maybe it is. There have been a lot of other discssions of ATI and VISTA drivers. Search the forums.

The ATIMobility line of cards last I saw wasn't supported with SL. There are people who can get SL to run with some set-up's yes. But chances are your card doesn't have enough power to run SL. It's a laptop video card, not a gaming card.

the X1900 is a great card and can more then handle SL, try to get the latest drives for it, I use that card with no problems.

Ninja, he has the **ATIMobility** which is a laptop card. It's different that the X1900 which is a desktop card.

I got Laptops that run fine with ATI Mobilty 7500
how ever I have a brand new clean build vista T60 with x1300 mobilty and get crash on start up
