I was wandering around the map when I found a bunch of avatars (42 at the time) in the same spot. So.. I teleported in. What I saw was pretty disturbing. I pile of AVs that were nonresponsive, and some of them had the same profile. After these odd nonresponsive AVs with default clothing spawn in, they dissapear after about thirty seconds. More AVs spawn in randomly - and it's like an odd loop. All the AVs seems to have legit profiles and they are members of groups... Feel free to TP to the given coordinates in-world if you don't believe me.

Looks like a bunch of ALTs sitting in a laggy money chair club that either crashed or the owner booted them out. They are all AFK as you can see, well be seeing alot more of these types of orgy groupings, because of the mass number of ALT avies just AFK thses days in money chairs or devices.

Well, a Linden showed up after awhile and is restarting the region. Very strange... I wonder if someone developed a random Av generator. I say this because many of the spawning avatars had the same profiles and were members of the same group.

More like one or two people running 5 or more avies on their system(s)........And this issue will get worse s more and more people sit in money making devices. Thinking they are making alot of money without spending money of electric bills.( then again thats another issue people love to chat about hehe ![]() |

A lot of Jan 3 start dates in that group.
Possibly this is someone using a libsl bot program to run the avatars. Libsl bots use far less memory than the regular client does. An average computer can run 25 or more avatars on one machine. They have the ability to detect camp chairs by reading the floating text messages they typically have, and can sit and later stand to collect their pay and transfer the money to the operator's account. They could also be using the registration api to create the accounts; I think it makes it easier to create accounts than using the normal signup page. See http://www.google.com/codesearch?q=camp+package%3Aghettosl.googlecode.com&origq=camp&btnG=Search+Trunk applications/GhettoSL/Commands.cs 100: } case "camp": { 105: { response = "Match found. Camping..."; Client.Self.RequestSit(prims[localID].ID, new LLVector3(0, 0, 0)); |
