Why not do a rollback?

Is that even possible? can they roll back and remove everything they added to this update until they figure out what went wrong? I mean, I get 'unable to connect to a simulator" on one avatar, I logged in a 2nd, was fine till I logged out and tried logging in hours later. Now, I created a 3rd...was ok except some funky graphics things like spikes coming outta things...I crashed and again...unable to connect. This is crazy...my rl roommate gets on fine, we have a router and he's linked to my acct.

Seems like there's something wrong with your PC?

Ah none of what you have is the update fault really, but after updates SL can be very slow so connecting to will be.
  1. "unable to connect to a simulator"
Happens alot, start using a shortcuit command to get into SL and dont click the button, it will usually totally ignore any errors like unable to connect, logout in progress , ect.

Make a new SL shortcuit

why you need another shortcuit?, whenever SL update and new client download is required you cannot use this , since it will totally just crash when asking if you want to download

; add this to target
(if thats where you installed it anyway)

"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -login name lastname password

exsample mine
"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -login Thili Playfair yeahright;)
  1. "funky graphics things like spikes coming outta things"
Tried toggling vertex program ingame?,
other reasons you see this;
heating , drivers , video card.

I got in fine with a new avatar, so, I obviously can connect. It's after I crash or log out that I can't get back in. My drivers and videocard are updated and meet requirements. I'm not the only one experiencing this from what I see in the forums.
