The PS2 keyboard port on my computer is broken, so I have to use a PS2 to USB keyboard converter. Does anyone have any problems with a similar setup?
I am seeing continuous messages in the debug log saying" Key up event missed, resetting". This appears to be happening anytime I have the caps lock state in CAPS mode.

Suezanne,
You are much better off simply biting the bullet and buying a USB keyboard - I had a similar problem - my laptop has no PS/2 port and I needed to use a keyboard with it. I bought an adapter for my PS2 keyboard and had nothing but problems. I spent $30 on a Logitech wireless keyboard that is dual USB/PS2 and it works flawlessly.

I have a problem with buying a new USB keyboard, namely I want one with nice mechanical keyswitches instead of the mushy squishy rubber membrane keys. Currently I can find two fullsize keyboards with USB connections and mechanical keyswitches: the Matias Tactile-Pro for the Mac, and a lefthanded model with the numeric keypad and the cursor keys on the left side. I have been informed by Matias that they plan on introducing a PC version of the Alps switch keyboard in "a few months" which would have a USB port. Currently I am using my ancient IBM buckling spring keyswitch Model M, a legend of keyboard history. So if anyone happens to know of new, fullsized PC keyboards with Alps mechanical keyswitches or good imitations I would greatly appreciate it. I may end up having to live with smooshy keys despite my wishes.
