I've been having a heap of trouble selecting objects lately. It's very annoying. The clicks go through to the object behind the one I am trying to select, sometimes they even go through more than one object. It's kinda crazy. I've had to resort to locking the background objects and ticking "select only movable". Could this somehow be related to the fact that I am running on really crappy hardware?

Yep, I have the exact same problem. Not only that, but the scripting window sometimes won't select text! Also, I gt a wierd message sometimes that the script doesn't exist in an object I was just working on. I have to relog to get things baack to normal.

MadamG, that's not related to pressing the Insert key, is it?
Eggy, I've not seen this for myself but does it relate to when you have low local FPS?

Yes...I'm having this issue.
I end up selecting trees and stuff behind my houses, and one of my renters is having this problem as well.
All I could tell her was to try repositioning her avatar/camera angle. She was trying to play my Solo Slingo game. She might not want to play now if she has to move herself or her camera every few seconds.
It takes me a few tries of repositioning to get the object I want. Very frustrating.

Prims returns to their original places too

I always have this problem quite frequently in 1.8, it was not much of a problem in 1.7, let be 1.6.
Whenever I seelct a prim & change it dimensions/textures, it will sometime just return to its previous dimensions in spams, its irritating getting the prim to shape only to see it automactically "spamz" itself back to intial dimensions.
I don't think its a bandwidth, pc problem as I am getting average 50fps in the sandbox I am always building in, let be at least 300kbs bandwidth shown in the debug menu whenever that always happens, its just weird.
I have not used 1.9 long enough to see the problem gone, maybe I will post updates in this problem at a later date.

I get it too. What I've found works is if you go to Edit > Stretch, and drag any of the dimensions a little one way or another, then change back to typing in precision sizes, it works. No clue why... it's just one of those things. Lewis
