The online help says that an easy way to move one's avatar is to lead it around by pointing to where to go by: Right click on the ground to where you want to go, A pie menu should open with one option that says "Go Here". But when I do that I don't see a "Go Here" I see only a "Sit Here" Am I doing something wrong? Is the Help wrong? Is there a mode I'm missing? I could have sworn that I've seen it show "Go Here" a few times, but its rare. Also again, the forum search mechanism won't let me search for "Go Here" or Sit Here. It rules those as invalid search terms.... Thanks in advance for any tips for something so basic!

You mean when you right click the ground, the very top option does NOT say Go Here? What DOES it say?

I've been missing that for some time too - it seemed to disappear with one of the client updates a while back now, can't remember which one it was but it puzzled me at the time, and I find it annoying to have had to do wihout it. Only on rare occasions now do I get a 'go here' option - I'll look more closely to see when and where...
I'm using the Mac client, if that has any bearing.

I'm using the Mac client as well.
I haven't done a full set of experiments, but it looks like the "Go Here" only works on land, but not if you are in a building....
I did see "Go Here" while in the Sandbox at Ahern tonite....

Aaah hah, I wonder if that might be because it interprets anything made of prims (such as when you are inside a house) to be an object to 'sit' on rather than a place to 'go'. I will take a look later when I get in world....

Yeah, I'm finding that's the case too. I can travel on default ground -- but as soon as primmystuff is built on it, Go Here isn't very useful anymore.

only on land.

Indeed, the pie menu "Go here" only works on land.
Objects get "Sit Here" or whatever they have been scripted to have - touch, pay, replaced sit text "teleport", etc.

I am using the Mac client as well. For 4 days alot of functions were not working (go here) as well as all avatars (including self) were not visible. I de-installed SL and deleted all SL files, then reinstalled. I was amazed at the increase of performance. Also, all fuctionality problems were fixed. Of course you lose all settings, but the difference was drastic. I recommend at least Mac users who are having problems try this.
