Hi all,
My little business seems to have ground to a halt, havn't had any sales at for more than 12 hours, which is very odd.
I'm stuck at work right now, so I can't get in world to see what's going on, is there a problem on the grid which could be messing me up?
Vale

They might be, but I sell from about fifteen other malls too. I've never known so much time to go by without any sales at all.

Not just you, My sales were VERY slow yesterday compared to recently. I have also heard the same thing from other ppl. Not sure what is going on, hopefully just a slump and will pick back up.

It's not feeling better, it's eating people's stuff!

I think I've just found out why. http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/03/07/inventory-database-is-unhappy/#commentsThe title of the blog says 'inventory database is feeling better', the replies tell a different story. Looks like people are having all sort of inventory problems, including inventory loss. I wish they wouldn't do that, if it's broken then say it's broken, shut the grid down until it's fixed so people don't lose what they've paid good money for. It's getting harder and harder not to jump on the "just fix the "f***ing thing!" bandwagon like so many other people. I know this is new teritory, I know it's expanding fast and there are bound to be growing pains etc, but it's not like they're helpless to do anything about it. Methinks it's time LL started listening and closed the floodgates. Vale

I know when the grid is feeling icky, I avoid buying expensive no-copy items. If you sell expensive no-copy items, this is probably why your business has been slowing down.
My business hasn't really had a slow down - but I sell cheap copiable items.
Another possibility is if you are using a networked vendor to sell your items, it might have gotten screwed up and need to be reset.

I gave up on network vendors ages ago, had too many problems with them. I'm mostly using prims set for sale. I've got 18 vending spots, some in very popular places and I still havn't had a single sale from any of them. My sales normaly slump a little when the grid is playing up, but I've never known them to stop dead for so long like this. I guess all I can really do is sit tight and hope for the best Vale
