I have recently purchaced a system with dual Nvidia 7900GS cards that have 256meg of memory on each card. I am going to run both cards so SLI will be enabled and both GPU will be used.

I'm wondering when I select the amount of memory for my video card in the SL client do I select 256 or 512?

Sli memory dont add up, they both need 1 texture each to draw, so

2x256 > 256mb
2x512 > 512mb
4x512 > 512mb
ect

Recommended draw method > half / half (Force split rendering)
AFR (alternate frame rendering) is default sli but not as fast with SL.

If you want to run SL with SLI enabled, please see my post here: SecondLife with SLI
