Hey all, this is my first thread so please be patient with me if I forget anything.

I currently am having a sound issue with my entire pc now that started when I was on SL and the grid went down. I now get no normal sound just alot of hissing and static in the background whenever normal sounds (like music or windows)) try to play. When the grid went down it completely froze up my PC and I had to do a hard reset by holding down the power button. I'm not sure what type of sound card i have but i believe it was stocked with the PC, it is fairly new and supports 5.1 dolby so I dont think its out of date or anything. My sound driver is a Realtek AC'97 which i have updated the drivers for and even did a system restore for windows. I also made sure to adjust the sound level settings so they are all equal. However I still seem to be having the same problem. Has anyone else encountered this issue since the grid went down for SL? Or better yet know how to fix it?

Try updating your driver.
