Vista/Nvidia card with SL

I have Vista and the Nvidia geforce 6150 graphics card that supports openGL. I updated all Nvidia drivers from the website today. I can get online on SL but only have life for 5 minutes then I crash. It happens every time and I'm not sure what to do.

Anyone know what I can do to be able to use SL without this crashing issue?

integrated graphics?

6150's are on the board integrated graphics I think. If so, it is probably sharing system memory. if you don't have lots to share, that can become a problem.

Possibly not entirely helpful, but I upgraded this weekend to a new PC with Vista, and have the Nvidia Geforce 7600GT (256mb) card now - SL works beautifully.

No, and unfortunately VISTA+SL=CHANCE. If it works, GREAT! If not, so sorry as it's not supported by Linden Lab yet. Your chances of having it work with an onboard video anything greatly go down with Vista in almost any "gaming" situation.

If the computer has a PCI Express slot, you can add a dedicated video card, which will have its own memory. The Nvidia 6150 chipset was never meant to run something as graphic intensive as SL. If you are on a limited budget, I'd suggest at least a Nvidia GeForce 7600GT card like Broccoli's.

If all of what I said is greek to you, I'd suggest enlisting the help of the nearest available Geek before laying out any cash. :D
