Seriously what have you guys done to building?, if theres a way to fix this/or a burried option/debug please yell ;_;

exsample 1 - Selection just make me cry to much

Can you see the arrows in this massive selection lines
in Prim piles? cause i sure cant

exsample 2 "Script Red Hell"

Highlighting anything that has a script red when
you rotate cam in Building , so annoying

Yes this can be disabled somewhat in debug, but ;

1. it doesnt stay on when you relog

2. Try texturing several prims
with the above on,
oh wait you cant see what youre selecting

Please tell me you guys are doing something about this :(

shove this post to wherever you think it should go,
i dont know, theres sooo many :confused:

Heya Thili... for #1, TOOLS menu ---> uncheck SHOW HIDDEN SELECTION.

This will make those line a lot thinner. Fixes one prob :)

Here's how to get rid of it. Make sure you're out of SL, open up C:\Documents and Settings\%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\SecondLife\user_settings\settings.ini and add these 2 lines (note the tab between the parameter and value):

SelectionHighlightThickness .001
SelectionHighlightAlpha .5

Enjoy building in detail without those damn fading wireframe flares getting in the way!

With a thickness of 0, masked/trapsparent prims don't appear highlighted unless partially underground or a non-masked/-transparent prim is in front of it. Oddly, setting SelectionHighlightThickness to 1 gives an interesting result.

.1 is too big too. .01 looks like how SL normally is but I want a thin wireframe on masked/transparent prims and don't want to have to set this fading flare crap big enough to see these prims but making normal prim wireframes too thick. Grr, LL...

Edit 1: OK, looks like .001 is just enough; edited original setting and removed SelectionHighlightAlpha since it's unnecessary.

Edit 2: Re-added SelectionHighlightAlpha because it helps.

How long have we had this!?!?!?!?!

I haven't been this happy since I discovered Debug>Rendering>Hide Selected :p

Way, Way, Way Cool!

Thanks, Torley!

EDIT:

And it's sticky! LOL :D Yay!

I had the exact same reaction. :D
