QuickTime is a slow broken clock, HELP!

I'm trying to setup a home theater system in my SL home, but quick time doesn't work on my computer. Ive check the Apple site, and apples being about as helpful as usual, like a rotten fruit full of worms. Is there some way to switch SL to another in game player? Anything that works in XP?

SL Video requires Quicktime. Period. Make sure you have the latest version installed, and make sure the source is actually a quicktime compatible source (a WMV file will not play, especially if it uses DRM) try the url of some of the trailers or samples from Apple's site. What is the Media URL you're trying to access? (or at least what's the end of it so we can see the file name).
