SL hates my graphics card :(

I have an Nvidia GeForce 5500 FX GFX card and have been running SL fairly well on it for qite some time, I recently noticed that I had a driver that was from december of 2005, I downloaded the newest driver, 9. 1. 3. 1, from the Nvidia site and installed it. Now I am getting "Error: Second Life is unable to run because your video card drivers are out of date of unsupported. Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers installed.

If you continue to recieve this message, contact customer service."

I rolled back to the older driver and got the same thing, I am coming here first as to see if I can fix the problem before contacting customer service. If you can, please help!

I had this problem a few months ago after a driver upgrade. The advice from LL support, which worked well, was to download Driver Cleaner Pro (www.drivercleaner.net) and clear ALL the old drivers off the system. (This will temporarily revert you to the basic VGA driver.) Then install the new driver.

Thank you VERY much, luckily I have two cards, so it reverted me to the default display without making everything unmanageably large and colorless. Again, thank you for this tip, every driver update I'm going to be sure to use this ^_^
