I plugged in my microphone in the correct hole. I want to talk in Ventrillo but it wont let me. I goto the Control Panel>Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices. (I have XP) Then I click the Voice tab and Test Hardware..I can hear myself when I do the testing but when I go in Ventrillo and Sound Recorder it wont work. Do I need to download something?? I need help. I have been working on it for 3 days..I even went out to buy a new microphone and still nothing.

can you connect to ventrilo? have you got your input/output devices sorted? you can test them there, which is where it matters, if you check in sndvol32, theres a few things you can check there, I had the same problem myself a long time ago, its most likely down to one of the volumes are muted or turned down too much. if you have no joy please pm me or reply I can talk you through it if u want?

Yes I can connect to Ventrilo. I think I have my input/output devices sorted. Sndvol32? I have all the volumes all the way up. Yes I would like that very much.

This belongs on ventrilo's website, im usually in a helpfull mood but comments like
From: someone
Your comment was useless to me.

fills me up with "screw this fool" attitude

The tech support forum is mostly manned by ppl who like to help, but comeon if it has NOTHING to do with Linden Labs or Secondlife what is it doing here? Shure ppl ask these questions all the time in the SL tech help, but with out "tude"

heres their support forum (theres only 30,000 post's)
http://www.ventrilo.com/forums/

and good luck asking pizza hut why your cheeseburger is cold

Ditto, however, this forum is for Technical Issues with Second Life, issues not to do with Second Life, belong in Off Topic :)
