It has really become a matter of making due it seems in the mind of some in regard to dealing with the known issues of SL.

I am finding that concept unacceptable when you pay alot of money for a service you can expect some support and resolve to problems you might face.

Right now we still face the following problems which is hurting business for many and ruining the enjoyment for those trying to just have fun.

* Clothing textures won't rez for most half the time if not more then half the time.
* Rotating or positioning objects, the object will flip for no reason.
* Scripted items tend to be very unstable even with ao off
* Texture rez issues in general still continue even after all these updates.

I wish we could get some solid and concrete answers and more importantly get these things fixed.

I have recently moved my entire village and all my vendors and residents to a newer sim hoping for better performance and sadly I am still suffering as are they.

Linden - can you please help? Can you take time to address these issues and repair them? and if there is no fix I would love to know that too

Cheers

I want to add my own experiences lately to your post Trin.

Rotation is completely wonky. I use numerics to line things up when I set up a store or am creating something.

Say for example, I have a box I am placing on a wall and its almost straight but off and I look at numerics and one axis is off say its 288 and should be 270 and other two axis are fine. If I change 288 to 270 it will change the other to axis (which were perfect and on 0) to random insane numbers and flip my box into outrageous angles. I have been setting stores up and using the numerics on size and rotate to align for 7 months now, so its not my method or my system. Something is seriously wrong with the rotation feature and needs to be addressed. I believe there is an entire thread dedicated to this. Trying to adjust by eye also ends in wonkiness.

Please, Please Lindens, this is a world created by user content, this is a basic tool used to do so, it needs to be recognized and fixed.

Textures don't rez great, but not incredibly awful for me. However, I notice a lot of people can't see what I am wearing or other people are wearing - they see blurs. The other day at a club, I saw my friend completely nekkid from the waist down for like over an hour. I thought she was just dancing freely LOL, but when i teased her she was shocked and said she was wearing shorts that she could see. Half the club could see but half saw nekkidness. This wouldn't have gone over so well in a PG area and she may have been AR'd , etc.

Last night I could not sit on anything in any sim I visited. AO was not on. Any chair with a pose in it resulted in really bizarre positions. weird!

My friend was unable to build anything because every time she moved something it would jerk and move off in it's own direction. When she would finally get it to stay and move mouse off the object it would fly again somewhere else.

Camera controls also seem out of sorts. Trying to do photoshoots has just been frustrating. I adjust settings but still on some days can not get camera to obey.

I love SL and know you are working to make improvements. Yet, I am befuddled here because I have been in world for almost a year and stuff that always worked before is now really screwy. Please, address our concerns and tell us you are going to fix these issues. How can your residents create a richer and more interesting world without the basic functionality to do so?

Actually no, not all. The only thing I see every once in a while is slow texture loading in a heavy populated sim, but SL has always had that. Are you absolutely sure it is SL that has the problem? The symptoms you describe sound an awful lot like network problems; high ping, drop in connection, wireless etc. We are all at the mercy of internet traffic and there really isn't a lot SL can do to change it. They know about the texture problems and they are working the problem last I heard.
