unwanted "trips", losing control of AV, cant fly or move

someone suggested me to put it on technical forum. I hope some smart people here will help me because I think I did everything what I could without iresults:

Fall out of world, go under surface, cant fly almost can't move.

It is only me or it is the game?

Few more words about it.
From same start I am in SL - I have the same - I try to go somewhere and all of sudden I am finding myself going like on invisible stairs up (to the sky) or down (under surface) (and I am out of control of my avatar). Flaying is even worse. I cant fly at one direction more than maybe 3 seconds without losing control of AV and then landing in completly random place.

Typical is that during the uncontrolled movement I can use my camera, it works for new objects on the way. Typical place for landing is 2-10 meters further from the place I tried to walk/fly. But I am "frozen" sometimes, I think up to almost one minute. Sometimes I am landing at completly randome and far place.

My computer has enough power to handle SL (2G of RAM , two core AMD 3800, Win2kprof, fast hdd, ati x1950, sound - creative audigy). Drivers are the newest ones (including BIOS), HDD defragmented, firewall configured according to SL knowledge database informations.
Firewall = comodo
antivirus=avast
Connection - only me, 1mbit/sec, ANY problems with other internet software, no other aplication but firewall and avirus.

I have to mention - I can fly up and down without problems. and I can build, smoth interaction with objects.

I will appreciate any tips how to solve it. thanks.

Does it happen the same in every sim? Ocasionally a sim will have a bad script that fouls up that particular region. Try logging in to a new and mostly empty sim to see, if you haven't tried that.

The only thing I've had that is anything like what you are describing was due to Norton needing to be reset after every update - but you aren't using Norton. In that case, although I'd set it to let SL through it decided on its own to disconnect me partially until I reset it.

I admit I don't know anything much, but I'm keeping you company :-D

Thanks :)

the same sim sometimes let me fly more , sometimes less (and during todays tests I noticed I can fly more over sim previously being a bad one). I have no clue why.

Frustrating :(

As mentioned in similar (sorry) topic at user answers - soon I will be able to check the problem with another computer so should let know to make distinction - it is our side problem (some of us at least) or SL servers side problem.

I am following this, for what it's worth, but I hope knowledgeable people show up here soon!

Sounds a bit like packet loss. Does the packet loss indicator (in the top right corner, the 2nd one from the right) go red in those cases? If so, network problems ...

As promised:

With another computer seems there is no such problem. I checked all things and differences (the "new" one computer is in fact an old computer - a weaker one) and seems I found.

Firewall - on my main computer there is a very good firewall. It works great and I have no problems with anything (including other online games) but SL.
On the "new" computer there is a firewall, too but worse one but ... there is no such problem with SL - like the one I have on my better computer.

What I found: the better firewall stops a lot of packets from linden network because the packets look suspicious for the firewall. Plus - the firewall found some ports SL wants to use but the ports aren't the ones mentioned in Lindens knowledge database.

I found only one solution atm (I dont want to ruin my computer defense only because of SL):
I changed things like: view distance, fog ratio etc. Now I am almost blind on my new computer but I can move. I think because there is much less information coming to my computer so there is less chance packets would be interpreted as malicious one.

Conclusion: I feel comfortable with my good firewall and only SL (exactly - packets from Lindens network) produces such problems. I will wirte directly to sl support about it and the same to the firewall producer. I will inform what answers I will get.

Thanks for all who were helping there :)

Edited: I forgot to mention - the packet loss indicator usually shows 0 packet loss (I meant the inisde SL one in the upper left corner. The same with transmision - no problems)
