This annoys me to no end: you can't rename a no-modify animation. Why? You can rename no-modify objects...

Actually, that depends on what it is about the object that is no modify.

For example, an object will show as no modify if it has a non modifyable script in it, but the object model itself has full permissions, in which case you can rename it because the permissions allow it. If your object itself was no mod, though, you can't. So essentially the permissions are consistent. Completely borked, sure, but consistent :)

Why are some anims even set to NOMOD? It doesn't make sense to me, since it's not like you can do a whole lot with them, anyway? :\

Torley, the whole damned implementation of custom animations makes little sense. It was like they came up with a good idea, implemented it, saw a loophole and thought 'oh shit. well, instead of working to a resolution we'll just cripple the whole thing!'

Hence not being able to use most anims in gestures and the like; the whole point of having them, or so I thought until they actually implemented it.

Kris, Kris, Kris... You know the only reason for custom anims was in order to make sex-balls. I hear Philip has a full set in his office...
