Log in and crash

That's what's happened the past four times I've tried to log in. The lag all over the grid has been horrible lately, and for once, I know it's not client side, because almost everyone else is experiencing it, too. Since the 1.12.0(15) upgrade came out, I've been sending at least one crash report every day, or freezing and having to log out more than four times a day. That didn't used to happen before the upgrade.
This time's problem:

I got stuck coming down off a teleporter, and had to log out. When I logged back in, SL froze, so I had to log out again.
Logged back in, got a message that clothing is still downloading, froze, logged out.
Logged back in, froze, logged back out (couldn't even clear the cache because it froze, and I had just cleared it yesterday).
Tried rebooting my computer at this point.
Logged back in...and...FROZE. Again. Waited 10 minutes, still frozen. Logged out.

Basically...I crashed at about 6:31 SLT, and have been trying to log back in since, but I freeze and crash every time I try. Worst timing, because I have a commitment in the game, and I feel like I've failed them because of these stupid lag issues. Can something PLEASE be done about this?
It's obvious to everyone I've talked to in game that the 'upgrade' has spiked up the lag, and even though there were reports sent, there were no upgrades this Wednesday to fix it. I, for one, am getting sick of all the lag spikes and crashing.
And, since it's not just me, there's obviously a problem...it'd be very much appreciated if it can be kindly FIXED.

The update is this weds and its currently up on the preview grid for testing in the meantime. LL had this and more to fix so I'm guessing they couldn't make it for this past weds to offer a new version.
