A rolling update was causing the slowdown -- we've stopped the update and things should clear up shortly. If anything changes we'll make an announcement.

As just posted in-world:

From: Jeska Linden
Update: We were in the process of doing a rolling update, and it caused teleports to slow down/stop. We've stopped the update, so things should clear out shortly. We apologize for the slow-down and will update with any changes.

Still no teleports

Just how long is it going to take to fix it THIS time? Teleports have been down for way longer than 3 hours now. And what about nonfunctional inventories? Why not fix the problems that you have now instead of rushing to test upgrades for two weeks and messing things up even worse by releasing them too soon? Why in the world were you trying to do an upgrade or whatever during peak hours and then stop it so that things stay messed up? Why did one of the Paradise sims simply disappear and hasn't come back? Why am I even bothering to ask questions I know will never be answered?

Why am I still in SL? Because I have invested too much real money in it to leave it now. Thanks for hooking me and others in such a subtle way. No I am NOT a happy camper and I won't be until this sort of thing stops.

There's a simple way to fix this IMO. From what I can see the teleport process uses a timeout value in the client in determining if you can TP. It seems the more stuff you have attached the less likely you can teleport.

Easy fix: Remove the timeout for saving attachments and let the user have the ability to cancel the teleport if it's taking too long.

This really sucks. Can't use /roam either. If I manually fly using roam and reach my destination, it spits me back to the center of the mainland. I can get places, but I have to do it real slow.
