I go to move something and it grabs five other things this is nuts.
Texturing is a joke half the time it doesnt. Its like you only have a second to drag a texture to the object.
What is going on?
Anyone else having issues or am i alone in this?

I've never had issues with...really...anything in SecondLife. "Project Open Letter" surprised the hell out of me...

...so...ummm...I dunno. Maybe it's because I have cable internet and a duo-core machine with a high-end graphics card and 2 gigs of RAM...

...but...I really never have problems with SL.

altho i wontt say ive never seen issues with SL ,theres a freakin ton of little things that shouldnt be there, overall ive had decent luck

rubberbanding prims usually is on LL's side, ive biult on dialup, and even with that latency it would bounce back and foruth a cupple times and settle in place, vs their lag, where the object would never go where you put it

that texture thing ive had happen before ... it was a combo of dust and a cupple cat hairs over the mouse optics

ive never seen it grab more than one thing unless i intended it to, or see above bout crap on mouse optics

maby some machine / ninernet lag causing all three? but atm im doing quite ok sooo i dunno

um wth are you talking about, LL didnt post here, infact theres only 1 or 2 threads on the entire board they will even look at

and even if they did the majority of the "its not my hardware" post are of ppl with 750mhz durons with intel graphics cards and 256 mb of ram ...

(but it worked in v 1.3!)

maby maby not

my old roomates used SL all the time, but were mostly un aware of the bugs long as their experiance was ok, which was one of a typical user

which is the majority of the populas

look at the threads in the tec issues, crashes blue screens missing inventory reboots hard drive thrashing funky video poor performance

i personally have none of these, the only time i did was on the release of 1.6 where me and a linden sat down and decided there was a huge memory leak with windows 2000

if i didnt know any better id say the platform was generally ok, yea slow but ok in its overall health

Actually, I'm on SL probably about 14 hrs/day. I spend my entire day scripting, building, animating, and texturing. I generally travel between only 4 sims, but do get out and around SL on at least a weekly basis.

I am not affiliated with LL in any way...I just honestly haven't really had any problems...definitely not any worth complaining about...in my 2 years here.

Guess Again..........
You know how many false bug reports are set in? Some are only in the game to send in bug reports. Just because they can`t tell the diff between their own lack of understanding the UI and that are rl issues with the ui......There is a long time person on this forum that is famous for sending in such bug reports. Its nowonder the Lindens don`t read half of the reports these days.

I can understand why one would not experience any problems. If you basically in one or two locations then you might not experience many issues. But really how many do effect you %-wise?

Applying textures to several diffrent sides of multiple prims will always fail some of them been this forever, heck changing color to couple of prims and you bet some of them wont get it hardly new issue.

Yes it gotten better now they switched the way we get textures , udp is totally unreliable and drops alot, but i dont think LL could image how big SL would become, ok on small basis but now its gigantic.

This is hardly new and always blamed on our side, and has annoyed the hell out of me whenever i had to texture always run into this.

To many bug reports sendt in and i havnt seen any of them actually fixed yet, cut prim incriments anyone?.

The texturing issue got me today...

I tried to apply a texture to only one side of a cube, and voila - all sides take the texture - I blink, rub my eyes, check my selection area again, then realize I'm screwed cos it's part of a pre-fab I bought so I don't own the textures to repair it.

Snapback on moved/rotated prims still happens more often than not.

Also been seeing random bizarre behavior from scripts -

Hell, there's too much to actually name.

Put a check next to my name as one that is having issues with building.

I am with you on this; the only problem I have had is with access due to an account glitch but my system is like yours. And I'm on daily for most of the day as I work from home.
My husband is having a ton of trouble on his machine though and his frame rate is 50+. His problems started 3 days ago with really bad lag; SL is now unplayable for him.

I wonder if different experiences are due to which server we are connecting to? or some such thing. The glitches seem to affect people randomly without any pattern I can see.

The one thing we all share though is the bad experience with customer service.
