This story can go on forever. I really need a new computer, but I'm broke. I got a visa... and I've been shopping like crazy and I am now in debt. That's not what I need help with lol. You see last year I started getting these runtime errors. I can't rememer what they're called something like Runtime error - Visual C++. I've re-formated, I've cleaned my computer daily, I've uninstalled graphics drivers to reinstalling up to date ones. It's getting really hard as a new update for SL comes out to firgure out how to fix these runtime errors. I really need help and I miss SL... can someone give me the answers PLEASE!! :o
I've called linden lab, I've e-mailed them... no one seems to help me!

Please help, kenzie craven

Errors which are "something like" a hugely vague half-memory of what it might've said are not something anybody can trouble-shoot. When they occur, write them down or take a screenshot.

If you can't at least tell us what they are verbatim (as in word-for-word, letter-for-letter, without glossing over anything), nobody's going to be able to assist.

Though the error message needs to be posted for the experts :) here to help me not included in that, the 511mb mem and 5200 card are not going to run SL very well. Your using almost all your memory just to run windows XP and SL is a memory hungry program you need minimum 1gig and I would spend 100US on a more modern card.

I know your having money troubles but even if you figgure out what's causing the error those specs are woefully inadequate for SL

Oh by the way since you reformatted and still get the error it's a good bet that there is a bad chip somewhere on your computer. Could be wrong but i'm no expert.

Next time the error occurs write down the entire error message.

Do you know how to take a screenshot if you need to in order to record the error precisely?

Do you have Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar?

Have you tried not just re-installing SL but completely uninstalled SL before reinstalling SL?

Try updating Direct X.

yes, this has the hallmarks of a faulty memory chip.
