What's wrong with my graphics???

Hi,

Please can anyone shed any light on this issue? since I joined up, my pc has had no trouble running sl, yes, it sometimes freezes and has the occasional crash but all in all I've been happy with it's performance, then, a couple of wks ago, something happened to the graphics, I've not changed any of the settings, just logged in one day and things had changed, things that had been white are now pink but not all of them, only some, to make it easier for you to understand I have included links to 3 snapshots taken 'inworld'

The first is of my neighbours white house, the second is of white signs in a shop (note one of the signs is still white) and the third is of waves on the shore.

As you can imagine it's starting to really annoy me now, I've uninstalled and reinstalled sl but no change, also my graphics drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks to me as if "Highlight transparent" may be on.

It's one of the beacons that's turned on .

Most likely: View / Beacons / Scripted Objects with Touch Only (uncheck that one)

If some things still remain highlighted uncheck anything else that might be checked in the top part of the Beacons sub-menu as well (Scripted, Physical, etc).

You're right, I had 'Beacons always on' checked, unchecked it and all is right with the world again! how silly am I????

Don't feel silly, some people walked around with "Show Updates" turned on for weeks, seeing puffy red/blue "smoke" wherever they went .

If there's something that seems wrong and that's annoying you, it's always a good idea to ask about it. Especially with a new update, chances are someone has/had the same annoyance and knows how to fix it .
