Well, but if you recall, there was a time when it got bad when there were 5,000 on, or 20,000. Granted, not quite like it is now, but can you imagine what it would have been like to have 25,000 on the grid a year ago?

It is gradually getting to where the grid can handle more people. It's just so slow that we don't really see it.

No, it's not getting better at all. I've been in SL for over a year...........i remember the lag problems of 5, 10 and 20 K online. It was the exact same problems. With the exact same "hang in there, things will get better".

Of course if you are saying LL is getting faster and more effiecent because they can now handle 10 K with ease........and 20 K pretty well, then I suppose you are correct. However if you are chasing a car that is traveling at 50 mph and accelerating at a rate of 5 mph per 10 miles and you are traveling at 45 mph and accelerating at a rate of 3 mph per 10 miles you are NOT improving your chances of catching up...........and that is was SL is doing. They are improving...........but at a much too slow pace. So they cannot say with any honesty at all that it's getting better. It's not......it's getting worse every day.

Excuses like that drive me up a wall.

<looks up with glazed eyes into space> I remember.. when you could miss a whole game of tringo, just waiting for the board to rez..... and a 20 minute wait until the score board updated from the previous game and paid a winner (usually the wrong one).. when you walked around like a person in a deep sea diving suit, complete with lead boots, due to lag..... Jumping off dance balls every 2 minutes as your clothing rezed one sock at a time... frame rates of single figures...

Oh sorry, got to go, my Tringo board has just rezzed.....
