Hello beloved Lindens!

I got big problems - i can't login to SecondLife with this account from Linux any more. The account works great in Windows, and other accounts work great in linux too - but it is not possible for me to login with "Velvet Tripp" from Linux-client anymore.

I tried everything: I flushed the cache, reinstalled the game to a different location, i even reset the position of the avatar from the windows-client and I already talked to nicole linden about this wierd behaviour. but nothing helped.

If i start up the linux-client and type in my account-data to log in, the welcome-screen will vanishes and the loading-bar will shows. After a few seconds, the client shows the following error-message:

"Unable to connect to Second Life.
Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong.
Please check www.secondlife.com/status and the Second Life
Announcements forum to see if there is a known problem with
the service"

Its so wierd. Everythign worked great till 2 day days ago, then i was suddenly booted out of the game and i got that error. :(

I am so afraid that i want be able to log in from linux any more ... :(

Please help me,
Velvet Tripp, a Creator & Linux-User

I think there is a LInux Alpha forum you can check with as well as this one.
Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about the lunix client, but if you can locate where SL puts its cache, you can try manually clearing it out. Sometimes removing the client doesn't delete the cache.
