SL wont load

As the title says it wont load, I can't even get to the login screen. All it does is bring up the little box reading "detecting hardware" then onto "loading" and then nothing it just stop's their and crashes, this has only happend since the latest update, any help on this situation is very much appriciated.

I get as far as the screen that says a crash was detected and would I like to file a bug report, which I did, the first couple of times, and then nothing.. No screen at all. I tried reinstaling. What now?
Any suggestions at all would be appreciated.

Ok... Win XP Pro, AMD Athlon processor 1.00 GHz, 512 Mb RAM. GeForce 2MX DPI settign 96 dpi.. and if it sounds like I had to ask a friend for help to get all that, I did.... Computer illiterates unite! *sheepish grin* Hopin' someone has the patiernce to walk me though this... Thanks again |

i got mine to work by deleting every folder inside the application data folder and then loading sl, u have to set all your prefrences again but at least the game worked. i have yet to try signing off and back on. lol

Don't worry about asking retarded questions, when i started SL I only knew were the on button was, now i can do tracerts and pings.
My 3.5 months of lag issues turned out to be my ISP bandwidth shaping me, check your ISP service and also check that you are running no other programmes while trying to log into SL.
These people are great with questions and between them there is nothing they don't know.
