SL Crashes with Windows Vista

Just ironic to me to have such a powerful machine, and it crashes in SL. I can log in, everything is fine at first... eventually SL crashes; you can never know when. It's very embarassing when you're in the middle of something, um, intimate.

So, I have a Gigabyte nForce 4 MB, AMD Athlon 64X2 duel core processor 4400+, 1Gb. The graphics is supported by GeForce 6800 GT.
Onboard raid striped (for performance) hard drive pair.
Keyboard is Logitech Dinovo Edge.
Mouse is Logitech MX Revolution.
Keyboard and mouse both running under SetPoint v3.3 64-bit.

The OS is Windows Vista Ultimate.

Everything is up do date: chipset updated, drivers updated, Vista updated.

I've tried the trick of shutting down one of the CPUs after starting SL. Didn't make any difference so far as I could tell.

Is there a work-around until a Vista version of SL client comes out?

Thanks

You got two things working against you I'm afraid. Microsoft and Linden Labs...........they have completely different agendas. I can assure you that Microsoft won't change it's direction to resolve any issues people might have with applications not running properly with the Vista OS.............it works for what Microsoft is after. Linden Labs and SL are experiments with new technology..........and they ain't going to change their direction until it has to be done. Over time Microsoft will will get it's way and all others will "fix" their stuff to work with Vista..............including LL. But it's going to be a long wait I'm afraid.

I jumped on Windows Millinium when it came out...........I jump no more LOL Waited to get XP for two years and will do the same at least for Vista.
