OK,
A new player was placing an object called "drohne" around me the last couple days. I delted the first but today I decided to report them. I have no clue what this does. Today when I clicked it for info on who made it, I accidently touched instead of just looking for info. It dispapeared right away.
Now I am a bit concerned. I contacted the new guy (he was very upset and said he did not know it was a bad thing, a friend put him up to it) he did send me a copy of the code so I could show a Linden if needed.
The last string looks like this:

message = name + " : " + message;
llSendRemoteData(key channel, string dest, integer idata, message)

Is this thing gonna hijack my avatar or my money, etc? Worse yet can it read my credit card info?

Feeling a bit worried right now. (btw my wife also clicked the thing, she just told me. yay!)

No. If it tries you will get a popup box asking if it can control you. You can always click no.

No, totally unrelated, a script in world is not tied into credit card info, and even if it was there is no llStealYourIdentity command last time I checked.

Awesome... thanks. :)

Wonder what it's purpose is then? The guy said the friend told him it was the "goal of game" and a "present" to help him make money.

Sounds like one of those "wire tap" drones. It follows you arround and repeats everything you say and hear back to the owner. There is one out there for free off of slexchange. It only works within the sim. So the owner has to be in the sim to hear it. Aslo as soon as the avatar that it has been attached to leaves the sim it "falls off". Then it just sits around until the owner comes to reclaim it. From my experience fooling with that particular drone, ctrl-alt-t doesn't make it visible. Try this, if you own land that has only objects owned by you look at about land see if anything is on the land not owned by you then return anything not owned by you. Not sure if that would work. Cant hurt to try.

I just looked on my lot.. nothing today (though the one was there yesterday I mentioned in my post that I deleted.) Problem is this one was on a neighboring lot (that the owner is NEVER at and never maintains) so if it is there it will get to reside for now on.

Not too happy thinking that everything we say in game could be sent back to someone.

I will hope a Linden (um.. Guy?:) ) can auto return all the junk that is left on that property. I know Guy was out the other day and took care of some, but there is more and still no auto return on the props. She has like 4 or so that people dump on.. wasnt too worried untl this Drone became one lol.

Thanks for the help. I appreciate all the suggestions, etc. :)
