Because I meet a lot of people in sl, and I have a memory like a goldfish, I often have players come up and talk to me, and I cannot remember who they are. A way of remembering them was by flicking on their first life photo. 'oh yeah, he's the bloke with two heads, or he has a cowboy hat, or something.' It seems now that sl photos take forever to load, and that really spoils the game for me. Someone was saying the other day that my photo wasn't up (he didn't realise that was a good thing)It seems to be getting worse all the time. When I thirst started playing the photos would be there instanstly, and I knew who I was talking to. Why is it so bad now, and is it just me who finds this annoying? Thanks

Yeah, the profile pictures take forever to load. It's annoying.
I like what Zapoteth says; take notes on people. I've only just started to, really.

My probelm is that I can't recall who they are when I took a picture with several ppl and went over it some days later. Unlike the screen shot of OS, SL's is good because it doesn't show excrescenses, like a mini map, an inventory list, a chat log and so on. But sometimes I want it to leave name of avatars above their heads. It would be better if that option was there.
