I am wearing a "shape" and also have a skin on. I want to use my skin but not my shape. I cannot figure out how to take it off. Is there a difference? I was thinking that skins were shapes. Even when I put on the new skin I have, it won't take the shape off. I hope this doesn't sound confusing! Any help would be appreciated. I don't have an option to take off and can't delete it either.

No, skins and shapes are different. You can't take a skin or shape off, except to replace them with a different skin or shape. If you could do either, you'd be invisible. Think of the shape as being like the invisible man, and the skin as being paint covering him. You can't see one without the other.

Thank you! Now to another question...where is a good place for shapes or can you buy them or do you just experiment yourself? I have bought makeup wanting to look like the makeup model or thought the skins would make me that way. I just have a lot to learn!

There are some people out there who do consulting on or sell shapes. Blake Rockwell is one who comes to mind. You might have a lot of fun doing it yourself though and playing around with the sliders in appearance mode for a while.
