Quick question. I'd like to clear out the cache for SL but I don't remember where to navigate in order to clear it. Can anyone tell me?

Thanks!!

Can't remember exactly but is something like this and is a hidden folder. You have to enable view hidden files
documents and settings/owner's documents/application data/secondlife

You can always uninstall SL and go for a clean install too. I do that with every upgrade.

Clearing SL Cache - Mac
12-14-2004 08:26
for all those with Mac (abeit us few lucky ones). Very easy with Mac OSX.

In Finder perform a "Find", type "second" or 'secondlife", with "visible and "invisible" on. Click Search and, voila...in 2 seonds ALL the Sl files and folders. Easy to delete all, or just tweak those troublesome cache, plist, and crashlog files. Re-install SL as needed. ;-)

You will be done and back onlike with a refreshed SL in a jif.

Another way to clear the Cache on Mac OSX is go to Desktop Menu -

GO menuy > FOLDERs Home > Library > Application Support > SecondLife

and you'll see the Cache Folder. You can drag it into the Trash.

I do that most everyday.

Where else might the second life cache be? And would it be named something other than "cache"? I've done a search of both hd's and there's no such folder found. thx

it is a hidden file. You have to enable view/ hidden files in tools.
