Is it like this at all server maintenances?

Serious, i heard it's down longer then estimated with all server maintenances, is that so? And if it's so then they should seriously do a maintenance on their maintenance first......and then start maintenancing on the servers.

*giggles* Actually, this isn't too bad. Usually they just open it up and see if we crash it as we pile on. Then it's down for 5 to 6 hours as they tried to figure who hit the cntrl-alt-delete while chanting the Linden Meeting Cheer.

Yah, I would probably spit coke all over my keyboard if SL was 'actually' up when they said it would be. ^.~

So, it's realy like this with all maintenances? man, they should look at sum other games which can do maintenances in like 2 hours and have it back up and running with no problems at all. I say they do have to do a maintenance check on their maintenance system before maintenancing the servers.

I hope Linden understands not so smart talks from the common people.......

saskia: SL is not the same as other multiuser enviroments. Comparing it to 'Some other games' is not fair.

Like comparing a horse to a car. Yes they both move, no they are not both the same animal.

I am curious... Which is the horse, and which is the car? Performance-wise I would not be inclined to call SL the car, though it does have some pretty great features, so this makes me curious as to what you had in mind when you made that statement.
