I have downloaded and installed the latest SL update; however, whenever I log on to SL, I get a message that says something like "An update is needed but not required." It also says that this update will increase stability, etc. But when I click update, a box appears in the upper left hand corner of my screen, which errors out.
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening, and better yet -- how to fix it?

The SL automatic updater and my computer don't like each other, for reasons I have not yet discerned, but I just download the client from the website directly and install a fresh version. Seems a drag, but that's the only way to get it working for me.

I have the same problem too, so I always go to the site to DL... and I did this time as well (twice, in fact), but I still get that message. Time to call tech support, I guess.
