The game crashes after about 30 seconds of play. HELP!

What kind of crash? Do you get booted to desktop with a 'Secondlife has encountered an error' or whatever box, that gives you the option to send in a bug report? If so, that seems to be a bug that 1.6.1 didn't fix, I'm suffering from it myself.

I resolved the issue. I just bought a new $800 video card! Tehehe
