Anyone noticing an increase in network lag in game at the moment.
I have been having problems for the last few days... chat lines coming up in the wrong order, scripts taking ages to save, items not rezzing straight away?
Is this just me? Is it the sim I'm in... or is this happening all over SL?

I have been noticing increasing lag as well as SL gets evermore popular. Rumor has it that they are working on the bottlenecks, but you might consider changing your schedule until then.
Obligatory *old* joke - Nerd A: Hey buddy, you gettin' any? Nerd B: Yeah, about 2 MIPS during the day and 5 MIPS at night

Yes, this weekend has been really bad. I figure that either LL is having problems or something worse than that is happening. Since it was a holiday weekend, the number of people online may have increased, taxing the entire net. We'll see if the problem persists over this next week.
My other theory is that more people are switching to broadband. From what I understand, more folks using cable connections to the net (in an area), the lower the bandwith in that area. Hopefully that's just a myth.
I did notice something interesting. Hank Ramos has some sort of sim status indicators at four adjacent sim corners. I approached them, and the sim I was in would turn from green to red. Then I'd enter an adjacent sim and that status indicator would turn from green to red. I could cycle around and make them degrade, returning to green after I left. This might have been simple coincidence, but each time I did this, my AV became phantom in three of the four sims... bouncing on the ground if I tried to land.

Jamie It's not just you!, the lag in our sim and the one next to it has gone up massively in the past week. sometimes it takes 2 or 3 minutes or longer to save scripts and chat lines take many seconds to appear quite often. I'm sure it's not time related it seems to happen at odd times. Like right now, there is 4 people in the sim and i can hardly move!

Lag is beyond belief

Seems to me like each of the last three updates have increased the amount of lag by over 100%. I takes all the fun out of being in here. Rezzing has also slowed to a snail's pace. Tonight was dancing - lag was way bad - danced all the way to my desktop. Hope that the Linden's will get this corrected ASAP - like yesterday Sumar

I also have chat lag frequently even in sims that are nearly empty of avatars , not highly developed, while ping times are 80 and packet loss is zero.

I've been having packet loss of 5-15% in the last few days, which is abnormally high. I have no real easy way of telling where or why the packets are being dropped though.
