... I'm getting mad...

When I start up SL, everything goes fine, except for the noticeable slower load time.

Then when everything loads, it says that my clothing cannot be loaded at this time, but everyone will see me properly, or w/e it says... So I get into SL, and here's what I find.

Myself, but missing everything, I'm invisible except for my attached parts. Another thing, I'm stuck, I can't move at all, anywhere! NADDA! ZIP! ZERO!

I restarted my computer. No luck.

I restarted SL, no luck.

I cleared cache, no luck.

No, I did not switch my settings recently.

Oh, here's another thing, I've been playing SL for a year, and this problem only came to life when the new update smacked itself into secondlife.

Have you waited until second life was completely loaded?

Waiting 15 minutes with only Secondlife on doesn't count?

Oh, here's another thing, I can't message ANYONE, or type in chat.

teleport. Or fly up (something that seems to work)... Surf the lag currents a while. Or hit the 'appearance' menu, things seem to be forced to rez that way.

Failing that, I have no clue.

I just sink into the ground before a sim restarts. It's a neat trick. I'm a divining Nobody for sim restarts/crashes. And I fly through buildings!

Nothing works at all. Can't fly, can't right click and sit, can't do ANYTHING.

No appearance menu either.

Check your caps lock/num lock keys and the light in your optical mouse if you have an optical mouse. If those are working, then I'll sit this one out and see how you solve it.

Why do these things happen? I know they're not happening on a global scale.

Caps lock works fine, as does num lock, and optical mouse.

I think I got that exact same thing the other day... thankfully it went away after I restarted SL

I am having the exact same problem as Nogaurd here. Ever since last weeks update.. the one that happened around the 10-12th of july.. ever since that one I been having the EXACT same problem.

I have this very problem now, thanks to some stupid shape I bought. The shape was broken so when i went put on my previous one, I can't change it. I relogged and so now I'm stuck on can't change appearance to my stuff loads. Good going on the crappy shape.

Sure they are. Maybe not to everyone (I guess that must be what you meant) but definitely all over the map.

Fortunately it only happens to me occasionally in the last week roundabouts, or I'd just give up totally.

Times i get this invis avatar is when SL sticks in background and you have several copies running without it quiting them properly, starting another SL and i get the

" You clothing is still loading blablablaaaaaa... "

Beats me why this happen randomly tho, i can get invis avatar and unable to move at all if i start 2 SL's , start one wait 10 min start another bam there it is, wierd workaround , start SL, immidiatly minimize it, wait till its done, maximize, um.... ok then i dont get that "clothing blaah".

Tried a shortcuit login?

create a SL shortcuit again, right click it properties , add this to target

"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -login Firstname Lastname Password

Use that shortcuit never enter anything to log in anymore

(do not use this when theres a update it will just start do nothing and hop back to desktop without saying anything , so keep a old shortcuit or remove -login >stuff<
