Friends List presence issues

I have been having presence issues on my friends list for going on 3 days now. While I *can* see my online friends from the website, I cannot see anyone online when I log in, and only subsequent people logging in actually show up on my list.

Is this a known issue as of the current update? Is there something I am doing wrong that is causing this?

Further to this issue, I have attempted to contact Live Help in world, to learn that I cannot even send a query to Live Help.

I am on a Powerbook G4, 1.67Ghz, have redownloaded and reinstalled the client already, as well as cleared the cache numerous times.

Nothing has worked.

Anyone have any tips?
