The first time I ran SL with my R9000 Pro, it told me i have the wrong drivers, to install catalyst 3.8, which was discontinued by ATI themselves... so i assume its best not to use them..... i am not running the most recent drivers, though i am running the most recent version, that seems to best fit my computer... without that microsoft framework pile of crap... im NOT downloading that because i dont know how to get it off... im picky like that, but eh... the main thing is now, why cant i select 'AGP Graphics' under options? and now in the new version of SL, avatar vertex program and a few other options have been set unselectable... what can i do to take advantage of my buying an AGP card, so i can have my AGP graphics?

Moved to Technical Issues.
Floyd, that "3.8" thing I've heard of before--I also heard the other say some people got a message telling them to upgrade to 6.3 when the newest Catalyst drivers are in fact 6.5. I've asked this to be checked into by our experts. ![]() So, you should use 6.5, downloadable from http://www.ati.com of course. Sorry for any confusion. AGP Graphics used to be grayed out if you're on an ATI card because of shortcomings in how they implemented OpenGL (which SL uses, I believe). I don't know if this is still true, but maybe someone can post here and help you with that. You can always contact Support for help too. ![]() _____________________
